Veteran Builder - New to Forum

Greetings from Ontario, Canada. This is the first scale model forum that I have joined although I've been building since the early 60's and actually lived through the "golden age" of model car building. IMHO although the subject matter back then seemed to be generally more interesting (like their 1:1 scale counterparts) more often than not the engineering and production of the scale replica left a lot to be desired. The mold technology and quality of today's kits are far superior to the oldies that we often get nostalgic about. Add into today's mix; paint selection, the aftermarket decal sheets, resin casters, machined aluminum and photo etch vendor's parts and the choice of build subjects becomes mind boggling. So have fun and enjoy the hobby, as we are now in the real "golden age". Cheers' Bearsgang
